Arrival

Our overnight flight took us from LA to Fiji in about 10.5 hours (not as bad as it sounds). We arrived in Fiji just before sunrise.

We were greeted by these guys upon walking into the terminal, playing a cheery tune that sounded like an odd mix of Hawaiian Luau and a Mariachi band.

Approximately four to five hours later, we were on our way to Sydney, the islands of Fiji vanishing beneath a layer of puffy cumulous.

I had never seen Pacific islands before. The reefs are kinda pretty--with or without accompanying island.

Sydney approacheth! Woohoo! (The three beaches near the bottom are Coogee, Bronte, and Bondi, the latter of which we visited toward the end of our stay in Sydney.)
