June 27, 2006: A several-hour-long 22-degree (or circumscribed) halo taken at the corner of the
astronomy building and cropped for symmetry.
November 3, 2006: The first lunar 22-degree halo I had ever seen. Contrast increased to better
show the halo itself.
March 18, 2007: Parhelia (sun dog) and part of the parhelic circle (another first for me).
February 23, 2008: A faint but spectacular set of moon halos. (1) Fragment of the 22-degree halo;
(2) parselene; (3) fragment of the parselenic circle; (4) upper tangent arc.
June 15, 2008: Came out of church to find this circumhorizontal arc blazing in the sky. I had to take
a picture with my cell phone since I don't normally bring my camera to church. This photo doesn't do the
halo justice at all. It was beautiful.
The circumorizontal arc brightened again ever so slightly after I got home, so I tried my best to capture
it again.
July 12, 2008: Two subhorizon halos and a 22-degree halo, as seen on my flight from Toronto to DFW.
